About

Welcome to the PowerHousing Member Exchange Conference, held at QT, Old Parliament House and Australian Parliament House Canberra Australia. Our annual national event themed in 2023 as 'Solving the Housing Equation' brings together a high-level network limited to 500 industry leaders, partners and associates, parliamentarians, decision makers and international guests with the purpose of developing and sharing best practice for future growth of the community housing sector, both domestically and internationally.

The conference encompasses a member exchange of the largest CHPs in Australia and New Zealand and international speakers (Sarah Fletcher-Smith (CEO, London & Quadrant UK – Owner/Manager of 105,000 homes), Sarah Smith (CFO, Southern Housing UK), Priya Jayachandran (CEO, National Housing Trust, US), and Dr Eric Anthony Johnson (CEO, AEON, US). The annual PowerHousing Member Exchange Conference is a unique opportunity for professionals in the housing sector who deliver, maintain, and support the provision of affordable housing for low to moderate income earners, to come together, network and share on best practice.

Our conference focuses on leveraging our network, its expertise and best practice to build resilience in our communities. Over the course of the three days, delegates participate in robust discussions on the future direction of our sector with in-depth discussions led by our members’ talented leaders, industry experts and international guests with our gala dinner held at the Great Hall at the Australian Parliament House.

The conference also hosts multiple concurrent sessions that focus on best practice in various areas, including federal programs, organisation resilience, tenant engagement, artificial intelligence/cybersecurity, ESG and social impact, finance and investment, and healthy homes. Our conference also includes a vibrant Rising Stars program to further develop and enhancing the emerging talent within our member CHPs.
