About the awards

The PowerHousing Academy Scholarships and National Awards is PowerHousing Australia’s most prestigious and commemorative event of the year.

The PowerHousing Academy Scholarships and National Awards are designed to showcase the individuals, teams, programs, developments, and partnerships across the PowerHousing membership whose significant achievements have gone above and beyond expectations and have set new sector standards for excellence and innovation.

The Awards dinner allows members and invited guests to connect, and celebrate the accomplishments of staff and organisations who have brought people together, provided outstanding support, and created innovative changes that have enhanced the lives of their colleagues and tenants, their organisations, and the wider sector.

PowerHousing Academy Scholarships and National Awards are part of our larger PowerHousing Academy which assists future leaders in the community housing sector to further develop their skills and enhance their experience through a range of professional development opportunities.

Nominations closed on 19th September 2024 and the award winners will be announced at the PowerHousing Academy Scholarships and National Awards ceremony held at
the National Arboretum Canberra on the 19th November 2024.

Why nominate?

The PowerHousing Academy Scholarships and National Awards are a unique opportunity to showcase excellence in the community housing sector at the national level.

Individuals, teams, programs, developments, and partnerships which have been nominated for the awards receive significant recognition and acknowledgment of their exceptional efforts in demonstrating best practice in the provision of social and affordable housing.

The small-time investment required to complete the nomination form will reap significant benefits for those nominated and the organisations they represent.

Award and scholarship winners have significant opportunities afforded to them, which include:

Official recognition of being a winner, runner up, highly commended or nominee of the 2024 PowerHousing Academy Scholarships and National Awards.
National publicity, exposure, and recognition through being showcased on the PowerHousing Australia website, national newsletter and other promotional materials that are shared nationally and internationally.
Individual Award winners, runner ups and highly commended recipients have access to nominated scholarship funds from the PowerHousing Australia Academy for further education and training.
