What will the next enablers be for the 30,000 Housing Australia Future Fund, $2b Social Housing Accelerator Specialist Disabiltiy Accommodation and many State/Territory programs? Breakout 3.3 – EQUATION – Energy efficient housing = less emissions  = lower cost of living: Creating environmental change one brick at a time.

With a confronting picture of global warming, the calculations on climate does not stack up and our response is critical. Housing makes up close to 20% of the carbon emissions footprint and with 400,000 public housing dwellings that are expensive to heat and cool, this breakout considers programs that help tackle the climate crisis, while creating vibrant healthy communities.

This workshop considers the recent increase of cybercrime, emerging threats, best practice cybersecurity posture as well as governance that our sector needs to maintain.

What are the ways that CHPs can continue to adapt and maximise support offered to all tenant cohorts. This workshop particularly focuses on the evolving needs of tenants from homelessness through to upper affordable and harnessing a wrap around holistic support structure through a Tenant Backpack concept.

This workshop explores the vital ingredients to ensure that social and affordable housing (jncluding SDA) is inclusive for all tenants. The 2023 PowerHousing Academy Scholarships and National Awards are designed to showcase the individuals and teams in our membership who have gone above and beyond to support their colleagues and tenants.  PowerHousing will be celebrating the staff in our organisations who have brought people together, supported each other and have done whatever they can to enhance the lives of their colleagues, tenants and the organisation – no matter how big or small. 

 

These awards provide an opportunity for members to showcase their staff and their achievements. The awards acknowledge our sector and the community at large, as well as highlighting the difference that PowerHousing members make to the lives of tenants, local communities and our nation.
